We aim to create a welcoming, family-friendly environment where guests of all ages feel comfortable asking questions, exploring, and enjoying their visit. More than a store, Andy’s Garden Center is a place people come to spend time, discover something new, and connect through plants.

About the Role
As part of our retail team, you will be responsible for completing register transactions, providing consistently excellent Guest service, and maintaining stock levels of rocks and records. You will also help maintain the cleanliness and readiness of retail spaces to ensure a great Guest experience.

Shifts are typically 8.5 hours long, including a 30-minute unpaid lunch.

What You’ll Do
• Retail operations
• Offer genuine Customer Kindness to every Guest who visits Andy’s Garden Center, including being the friendly, welcoming face of the store at the start of their visit
• Check out guests accurately and efficiently, including collecting payment and basic cash handling
• Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing retail environment
• Clean and remove plants that are damaged, have pests, or are dead out of the retail area
• Maintain proper stocking levels to ensure we are fully stocked in all areas, including rocks and records
• Work well as part of a team to accomplish tasks
• Communicate clearly with teammates and managers and be willing and able to ask questions in case of uncertainty or need for additional guidance
• Handle a high volume of work for extended periods while maintaining a friendly demeanor with all Guests and team members
• Work outside in proper gear in inclement weather, including cold, heat, rain, and snow

Physical Requirements
• Able to lift 40 lbs
• Able to work on your feet for the duration of your shift
• Able to climb, push, pull, bend and squat throughout the duration of a shift
