How the Birthday Expedition Works
1. Arrival & Miner Briefing
Birthday groups gather at The Garden Patio, the expedition base camp. Kids meet their Deep Earth host, learn how mining works, and get ready for discovery.
2. Gem Mining at the Sluice
Each child works the sluice under staff guidance, uncovering gemstones, crystals, and fossils as water flows through the channel. Hosts manage pacing so every miner gets quality discovery time.
3. Sorting & Discovery
Kids sort, identify, and compare their finds — often the most exciting moment of the party. Every child keeps what they mine.
4. Group Wrap-Up
The expedition ends with group photos, final discoveries, and a clean, intentional finish.
